(Phnom Penh): The Cambodian Mine Action and Victim Assistance Authority (CMAA) is honored to inform the public, as well as national and international media, that a press conference will be held on Monday, 18 August 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the CMAA, Street 273, Corner 516, Sangkat Toul Sangke, Khan Russey Keo, Phnom Penh.
"The conference will address Thailand's baseless accusations against Cambodia concerning the alleged use of new landmines, and reaffirm Cambodia's position as a State Party to the Anti-Personnel Mine Ban Convention (Ottawa Convention)," according to the press release seen by Fresh News on Sunday (Aug. 17).
"Its purpose is to provide accurate information and clarify Cambodia's stance in response to Thailand's repeated false allegations of new mine planting, allegedly in violation of the Ottawa Convention.
National and international journalists are invited to attend, receive firsthand information, and share it with the public.
