(Phnom Penh): In the first seven months of 2025, the total trade volume between Cambodia and international markets reached over USD 36 billion, marking a 16.5 per cent increase compared to the same period in 2024, which recorded about USD 31 billion. This is according to a report from the General Department of Customs and Excise of Cambodia.
The report stated that from January to July 2025, Cambodia’s exports were valued at more than USD 17 billion, an increase of 16.2 per cent. Meanwhile, imports were worth over USD 19 billion, up 16.7 per cent compared to the same period in 2024.
China remained Cambodia’s top trading partner, with trade volume amounting to approximately USD 11 billion, of which Cambodia exported more than USD 888 million to China, while imports from China were valued at over USD 10 billion.
The United States ranked second, with bilateral trade reaching nearly USD 7 billion, up 25.8 per cent. Cambodia’s exports to the US were worth nearly USD 7 billion, while imports from the US totalled over USD 201 million.
The report from the General Department of Customs and Excise also indicated that Cambodia’s trade with major countries such as Viet Nam, Thailand, Japan, Canada, Spain, Indonesia, and the UK all achieved notable growth.
