(Kuala Lumpur): Cambodia and Thailand agreed to convene the Regional Border Committee (RBC) Meeting within two weeks after the Extraordinary GBC Meeting on 7 August 2025.
The host will be determined in accordance with the regular hosting rotation, according to the agreed minutes of the Extraordinary General Border Committee (GBC) Meeting between Cambodia and Thailand, held on Thursday (Aug. 7) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
In the joint statement, both sides also agree to maintain regular communications between all army areas and military regions and units along the border of both sides and strive to solve all issues peacefully and avoid clashes.
The two countries also agreed to maintain regular and direct lines of communication between Ministers and Chiefs of Defence Forces level.
Notably, this marks the second major agreement between Cambodia and Thailand since their July 28 ceasefire in Malaysia.
