(Oddar Meanchey): On Wednesday afternoon (Aug. 6), representatives of diplomatic missions and United Nations (UN) agencies, including the World Health Organization (WHO) and other relevant bodies conducted an on-site inspection of the displaced persons camp (Banteay Ampil) located at Phnom Thmor Kambor Pagoda in Pou Chas Village, Banteay Ampil District, Oddar Meanchey Province.

It is noted that the delegation included diplomats from 11 countries and representatives from approximately 15 UN agencies.

The site visit was led by Kan Pharidh and Un Kheang, Secretaries of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

According to the authorities’ report, from 24 July to 3 August 2025, a total of 3,905 displaced families, equating to 12,474 individuals had arrived and taken shelter at the Phnom Thmor Kambor Pagoda Safety Centre in Pou Chas Village, Beng Commune, Banteay Ampil District, Oddar Meanchey Province. However, beginning on 4 August 2025, the situation changed, and the number increased to 4,280 families, totalling 17,640 people.
