(Pailin): On Wednesday (Aug. 6), tens of thousands of Cambodian migrant workers continued to leave Thailand via the Prom International Border Checkpoint in Pailin Province. Governor of Pailin Ban Sreymom has deployed the provincial administration’s working teams to continue coordinating and assisting Cambodian workers returning from Thailand to their homeland.

She issued a public call and notice to all Cambodian migrant workers wishing to return home via the Prom International Checkpoint in Pailin Province or in cases where they are still in Thailand but are facing problems such as unpaid wages or lack of transport to arrive the Cambodian border. Those in need are encouraged to contact the working team via phone numbers 0975 79 78 78 / 088 369 6666. Assistance and coordination will be available 24/7.

It is worth noting that following recent Thai military aggression along the border with Cambodia over the past several days, there has been a noticeable increase in the number of Cambodian workers choosing to leave Thailand and return home.
