(Phnom Penh): On 5 August 2025, the Cambodian armed forces successfully dismantled the barbed wire illegally deployed by Thai troops who had trespassed into Cambodia’s sovereign territory in the Anseh area.

This decision to remove the illegally deployed barbed wire by the Thai side reflects the bravery and boldness of the Cambodian troops stationed in the Anseh area, who did not tolerate Thailand’s arbitrary violation of the ceasefire agreement.

The illegal installation of barbed wire by the Thai side in Anseh area on 4 August 2025, has been removed, and the machinery has ceased its operations as of the afternoon of 5 August 2025. The removal followed discussions and negotiations between the Cambodian and Thai forces positioned in Anseh area.

It should be noted that Anseh area lies within Cambodian territory and is fully controlled by the Cambodian armed forces after the ceasefire agreement came into force.
