(Phnom Penh): Lieutenant General Maly Socheata, spokesperson for the Ministry of National Defence, said that as of 10:30 a.m. on 4 August 2025, the situation along the Cambodia–Thailand frontlines remains calm and stable, with no outbreaks of gunfire reported, speaking on Monday (Aug. 4) during a press conference.
The spokesperson affirmed that Cambodian forces continue to stand firm and maintain the highest level of vigilance while diligently carrying out their duties.
“Since the ceasefire agreement between the Cambodian and Thai militaries officially came into effect at midnight on 28 July 2025 until 4 August 2025, the situation along the frontlines from 6:10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. today, particularly in Preah Vihear and Oddar Meanchey provinces, has remained calm. Our forces are maintaining strict vigilance and discipline in fulfilling their responsibilities,” she underscored.
Cambodia has been strictly adhering to the ceasefire agreement, which was mutually agreed upon in Malaysia on 28 July 2025.
