(Phnom Penh): This week, Dominic Williams, British Ambassador to Cambodia, joined a delegation of foreign diplomats, led by Cambodian Foreign Minister Prak Sokhonn, to visit border areas in Banteay Ampil District, Oddar Meanchey Province, and Sot Nikum District, Siem Reap Province.

The delegation met with communities affected by the recent clashes between Cambodia and Thailand.

The UK welcomes the ceasefire and encourages both countries to uphold their commitments and continue engaging in peaceful dialogue at the upcoming General Border Committee (GBC) meeting. The UK stands in support of efforts to ensure lasting peace and stability in the region.
