(Oddar Meanchey): On Friday (Aug. 1), Cambodian Foreign Minister Prak Sokhonn led ambassadors and diplomatic officials from 15 countries to inspect the implementation of the ceasefire agreement between Cambodia and Thailand along the border in Oddar Meanchey Province.

The inspection took place in Kok Mon commune, Banteay Ampil district, Oddar Meanchey Province. This area recently had experienced five days of armed clashes, including key sites such as Ta Moan Temple, Ta Krabei Temple, and Thmor Don.

The Cambodian top diplomat brought the diplomatic corps to visit the location where Thai forces had dropped an MK-84 bomb from an F-16 fighter jet, which had not yet detonated. He then led them to Wat Ta Moan Senchey, where a similar bomb dropped by Thai forces caused the death of an elderly Buddhist priest and injuries to several civilians, along with significant property damage. The delegation also visited a school that was hit by the Thai military’s attacks.
