(Phnom Penh): Samdech Techo Hun Sen commended all branches of the Cambodian Armed Forces for their strict compliance with the ceasefire agreement and expressed gratitude to Singapore’s CNA journalists for their on-site reporting from the Cambodia-Thailand border.

Samdech Techo wrote on his social media on Wednesday (Jul. 30) as follows:

"Continuing to monitor the implementation of the ceasefire agreement for the second day. I highly commend all branches of the Cambodian Armed Forces for strictly complying with the ceasefire agreement. I would also like to thank the military attachés from various countries who visited the Cambodia-Thailand border area within Cambodian territory, as well as the CNA news team from Singapore for directly reporting from the border provinces.

The true aspiration of the Cambodian people is peace, and I also believe that the Thai people equally desire peace. I will remain here until the situation returns to normal. I hope I will not fall ill, as I have no right to be sick while the nation and the Cambodian people are facing difficulties."
