(Phnom Penh): As of July 30, flights between Phnom Penh–Bangkok and Siem Reap–Bangkok are operating as usual, confirmed Sin Chansereyvutha, Secretary of State and Spokesperson for the State Secretariat of Civil Aviation, on Wednesday morning (Jul. 30).
According to Sin Chansereyvutha, the only adjustment has been made by Thai Airways, which reduced its services from two daily flights to one due to declining passenger demand. He noted that passenger traffic often decreases during the green (rainy) season, a trend unrelated to the border situation.
The Cambodian Civil Aviation Authority had earlier, on 26 July 2025, issued a directive prohibiting flights over active conflict zones and imposing altitude restrictions below 1,200 meters over Poipet, Pailin, and parts of Siem Reap Province.
Civil aviation authorities continue to monitor the situation closely and will promptly update airlines and passengers if any changes arise, the spokesperson added.
