(Phnom Penh): Maly Socheata, Spokesperson for Cambodia’s Ministry of National Defence, strongly rejected Thailand’s false claims and propaganda, reaffirming that Cambodia has not deployed PHL-03 heavy artillery.

She spoke during a press conference on Sunday afternoon (July 27), the fourth day of Thailand’s military invasion of Cambodian sovereign territory.

“The information broadcast by Thai media and claims from the Thai army spokesperson alleging that Cambodia has used PHL-03 heavy artillery are fabricated, false, and defamatory. These baseless accusations mislead their own citizens and the international community. As of now, Cambodia has no necessity to use PHL-03 weaponry,” she stressed.

Socheata accused the Thai army of spreading deliberate misinformation to justify escalating its use of heavy weapons in ongoing attacks against Cambodia.
