(Battambang): On Sunday morning (July 27), immigration police at the Doung International Border Checkpoint, bordering Thailand’s Laem district, prepared to receive approximately 130,000 Cambodian workers being sent back by Thai authorities.
Local authorities and relevant institutions have coordinated efforts to ensure order, safety, and efficient processing for the returning workers. Assistance is being provided to transport personal belongings from the checkpoint to designated reception areas.
Food and essential supplies have been arranged for distribution to all returnees. The General Department of Immigration has also completed all necessary preparations to facilitate documentation and re-entry procedures with efficiency and hospitality.
