Sar Sokha emphasized that, during this period, traffic police officers nationwide will continue to fulfill their duties in managing and coordinating traffic flow on public roads, especially on major national roads that are being used by the armed forces, competent authorities, and civilians involved in missions to safeguard national sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Sar Sokha wrote on his social media on Friday night (Jul. 25) as follows:
“Starting from the night of July 25, 2025, I have decided to instruct the National Police General Commissariat, with all municipal and provincial police commissioners under its command, to temporarily suspend the enforcement of the Road Traffic Law until further notice.
During this period, traffic police officers nationwide must continue performing their tasks to ensure smooth traffic flow on public roads, especially on major national roads, which are being used by armed forces, authorities, and citizens in their missions to protect the nation’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
At the same time, I strongly appeal to all fellow citizens traveling on the roads to obey traffic laws and drive responsibly to ensure their own safety and the safety of others.”
