(Phnom Penh): As of 11:00 a.m. on Thursday (Jul. 24), Cambodian armed forces remain in firm control of battlefield positions, while the number of wounded Thai soldiers has reportedly risen to over ten, according to frontline military updates.
Clashes erupted Thursday morning at the Ta Moan Thom Temple in Oddar Meanchey province and have since spread to multiple areas along the Cambodia–Thailand border. The fighting began after Thai forces allegedly opened fire at the temple site.
No Cambodian casualties have been reported. In response to the Thai incursion, Cambodian troops have deployed key weaponry to repel advancing Thai forces and protect national territory.
