(Phnom Penh): Cambodian Ministry of National Defence issued a statement on Monday (Jun. 9) affirming that Cambodia has not withdrawn any troops from its sovereign territory, according to a statement seen by Fresh News on Monday (Jun. 9).

The Ministry’s statement highlighted the following key points:

1. Cambodian troops have not been withdrawn from any area under Cambodia’s sovereignty, especially from positions that they have long-standing occupied.

2. All Cambodian army force preparations — including stationing, deployment, adjustment, and mobilization — are conducted strictly within national sovereignty and solely aimed at defending Cambodia’s territorial integrity.

3. While the Cambodian military supports peaceful resolutions to disputes, it remains fully prepared to enforce the Royal Government's orders to defend the nation’s territorial integrity against any attempted encroachments.

4. The Cambodian military is ready to support border negotiations with Thailand, particularly through the Joint Boundary Commission (JBC), to continue the demarcation and placement of border markers in unresolved areas—excluding those Cambodia plans to bring before the International Court of Justice (ICJ).

The Ministry of National Defence also called on all citizens and press to rely only on information from clear, verified sources—especially official statements issued by the Royal Government of Cambodia and the Ministry itself—as these are accurate, trustworthy, and reliable.
