(Ratanakiri): Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all frontline military forces for their readiness and unwavering commitment to defending the nation’s territorial integrity in the face of any armed aggression.
The premier spoke on Saturday (Jun. 7) at the inauguration of school buildings and achievements in the education sector in Ratanakiri Province.
Samdech Thipadei reaffirmed Cambodia’s defence policy, highlighting a “three-pronged approach” that centres on technical preparedness, adherence to international law, and readiness to protect the nation's territory in the event of encroachment.
“This is our stance—not to initiate conflict, but to defend ourselves. Our guiding principles are technical capability and respect for international legal frameworks. These grounded strategies are key to safeguarding our nation’s sovereignty. I express my deep appreciation to the courageous members of our armed forces and national police, who stand resolutely on the frontlines, fully prepared to defend our territorial integrity against any military aggression,” the premier underscored.
Samdech Thipadei also extended his gratitude to citizens both within the country and abroad for their ongoing moral, financial, and material support—especially their encouragement to the armed forces.
The premier noted that the current period is both critical and challenging for the nation, and emphasised the importance of national unity. He called for collective solidarity and support for the armed forces, the national border negotiation committees, and the government as a whole.
