(Ratanakiri): Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet affirmed that the Royal Government remains steadfast in its commitment to advancing national development without retreat, stressing that the sustainability of such progress depends on the safeguarding peace, political stability, and national unity.
The premier spoke on Saturday (Jun. 7) at the inauguration of school buildings and achievements in the education sector in Ratanakiri Province.
Samdech Thipadei noted that over the past two decades, Ratanakiri has transformed from an underdeveloped province into one that has made significant strides across all sectors.
“Ratanakiri, which had very little 20 years ago, now possesses a solid and suitable foundation for further growth. We will continue moving forward. However, the core principle remains the preservation of peace, national unity, and social stability—for both our society and our province,” the premier underscored.
According to Samdech Thipadei, Cambodia’s territory will continue to be protected and developed by Cambodians themselves, particularly through united efforts across all sectors aimed at improving citizens’ welfare, raising living standards, and addressing ongoing challenges.
In this context, the prime minister called on all citizens to place their trust in the Royal Government, led by the Cambodian People’s Party, and to participate actively in supporting national development. He also urged the governors of the four northeastern provinces—Kratie, Stung Treng, Mondulkiri, and Ratanakiri—to collaborate in transforming the region into Cambodia’s fifth economic pole.
Additionally, Premier Hun Manet expressed his gratitude to the people of the northeastern provinces for defending peace and standing up for the truth during the recent controversy concerning the Cambodia–Laos–Viet Nam (CLV) cooperation framework.
Furthermore, the prime minister encouraged school administrators and teachers throughout the province to continue their collaboration in advancing the education sector. He emphasised the importance of delivering high-quality instruction, continuously developing professional competencies, and prioritising human resource development as a critical driver of national progress.
