(Phnom Penh): Cambodian Rice Federation announced that in the five months of 2025, Cambodia exported 344,199 tonnes of milled rice, earning USD 252.30 million, according to the announcement seen by Fresh News on Thursday (Jun. 5).

According to the Cambodian Rice Federation, these exports were carried out by 48 rice exporters to 63 destinations, of which to 26 European countries, totalled to 160,732 tons of rice, valued at USD 126.75 million. Meanwhile, China, including Hong Kong and Macau, received 90,665 tons worth USD 53.25 million. Five ASEAN countries imported 49,700 tons valued at USD 34.56 million, while 30 other countries—Africa, the Middle East, the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, etc.—imported 43,099 tons worth USD 37.80 million.

Of the rice exported, fragrant rice accounted for 75.56 per cent, white rice 19.33 per cent, parboiled rice 2.43 per cent, organic rice 2.03 per cent, and other varieties 0.65 per cent. Notably, total wet rice exports reached 3,102,973 tons, generating over USD 740.94 million.
