(Phnom Penh): On Tuesday morning (Jun. 3), the National Assembly and Senate reconvened for the second day of their historic joint congress, turning their attention to the final agenda item: agricultural reform.

This session follows an intensive first day of deliberations, during which leaders and members of the Senate, National Assembly, and Royal Government engaged in discussions from 8:00 a.m. to 12:22 a.m. the following day, covering the social protection system and the informal economy.

The joint congress continues to serve as a crucial platform for transparent and collaborative dialogue between Cambodia’s legislative and executive branches. It provides a rare opportunity for members of both Houses to directly voice concerns and proposals to the prime minister and senior government officials.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen, who is presiding over the congress, reaffirmed his intention to hold a press conference at the conclusion of the proceedings.
