(Phnom Penh): On the evening of May 27, 2025, Samdech Techo Hun Sen released a short video clip on his official social media platforms, showcasing a historical meeting held in Tokyo, Japan, in June 1990 during the establishment of the Supreme National Council (SNC).
In sharing the video, Samdech Techo expressed hope that it would help those seeking to understand Cambodia’s peace process. He also aimed to remind those who present themselves as experts on the Paris Peace Agreements of the broader context—its origin, framework, and substance.
The three-minute clip features footage from the meeting held on June 4–5, 1990, when the SNC was officially formed based on the “6+6” formula, also known as “6+2+2+2.”
