(Phnom Penh): Several prominent national and international media outlets have taken interest in Cambodia’s first Khmer-language smart news platform, "Fresh AI." Coverage has included Cambodian news agency CNC, along with two of China’s major broadcasters—CGTN (China Global Television Network), Chinanews.com—and China-Cambodia Friendship Radio (CCFR).

These national and international media have reported on Fresh AI as Cambodia’s first AI-powered Khmer-language news platform, which was officially launched with an extensive database exceeding 400 million words or approximately 500,000 articles. The data spans a period of roughly 11 years—from 2014 to 2025—and continues to be updated daily with both domestic and international news, further enhancing the platform’s intelligence and content richness.

Users who have tested the platform expressed enthusiasm, noting that “Fresh AI delivers news quickly and concisely, in an easy-to-understand format. It could even serve as an alternative to Google or other foreign apps, as it is available in Khmer and is highly accessible to Cambodian users.”

Lim Cheavutha, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Fresh News and CoolApp message app, stated, “Fresh AI is a chatbot designed specifically for news-related queries. It is Cambodia’s first AI news application and a new innovation developed by our Cambodian tech team. It is a source of national pride that we now have our own AI-driven news platform. We will continue to enrich its content regularly to make it even smarter in handling questions and answers. This is an initial trial phase, and we will keep improving and developing it.”

It is worth noting that Fresh AI is the first Khmer-language smart news application in Cambodia, officially launched by Fresh News CEO Lim Cheavutha on 23 May 2025. Within just 24 hours of its launch, the platform had already attracted over 10,000 users.
