(Phnom Penh): Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet received a courtesy call by Lucius Daniels, Chief Asia Director of The Report Company on 13 May 2025.

During the meeting, Lucius Daniels expressed his sincere appreciation to Samdech Thipadei for allowing his to pay a courtesy call on. He also commended Cambodia’s sustained peace and stability under the wise leadership of Samdech Thipadei, recognising these factors as the foundation for the nation’s socio-economic development and its appeal to investors and tourists.

Lucius Daniels also briefed Samdech Thipadei on the company’s upcoming project: a report highlighting the Royal Government of Cambodia’s vision and key achievements. These include the Pentagonal Strategy – Phase 1, economic growth, the promotion of tourism during the 'green season', the transformation of Sihanoukville Province into a multi-purpose economic centre, and the development of the Sihanoukville Autonomous Port into a regional logistics hub.

In response, Samdech Thipadei welcomed Lucius Daniels and expressed pleasure at meeting him again. He highly appreciated The Report Company’s contributions to promoting Cambodia, particularly through the previous publication of his interview in Newsweek magazine. He noted the company’s plan to conduct interviews with leaders from various ministries and institutions of the Royal Government for the new report.

In their meeting, Samdech Thipadei also highlighted that the Royal Government has outlined policies and key measures to foster an attractive, flexible, competitive, and practical investment environment. In this context, he briefed major investments in, and the development of, critical physical infrastructure to support the transport and logistics sector. These include the Phnom Penh–Sihanoukville Expressway, the Sihanoukville Deep Seaport, the Funan Techo Canal Project, and Techo International Airport. Samdech Thipadei further stressed the provision of investment incentives within Cambodia’s supply chains, aimed at enhancing national competitiveness and supporting both domestic and export markets.

Moreover, Samdech Thipadei elaborated on the government’s objective to transform and integrate Cambodia’s coastal provinces into multi-purpose economic zones that encompass modern industry, manufacturing, services, tourism, and logistics—thereby contributing to economic diversification and national growth.
