Kampong Cham (FN), Dec. 21 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet stated that regarding border and territorial issues, the Royal Government of Cambodia does not seek to cause conflicts with neighboring countries at the instigation of extremist groups. The government prioritises negotiating border issues responsibly, without compromising Cambodia's sovereignty and independence.

The premier spoke on Saturday (Dec. 21) at the inauguration ceremony declaring Kampong Cham Province as completing systematic land measurement and title deed distribution.

Addressing overseas extremist groups, Prime Minister Hun Manet underlined that after criticising the government over the CLV-DTA, some overseas political analysts have now shifted to raising concerns about the maritime border. He referred to these individuals as "border experts" who only talk without substance, constantly inciting anger and misunderstanding among the people.

Samdech Thipadei stated that Cambodia has been negotiating its border issues for decades and has achieved continuous success. The Cambodian Border Committee is actively engaged in negotiations to ensure that the country’s territorial integrity is protected, without neglecting the concerns of the people.

The Royal Government remains committed to safeguarding the country’s territory and completing the demarcation process. In areas of uncertainty, Cambodia is working diligently to negotiate with neighboring countries to prevent any loss of territory or national interests.

On the occasion, Samdech Thipadei reassured the public that the Royal Government, led by the Cambodian People's Party (CPP), is dedicated to these tasks for the well-being of the people and urged the public to place their trust in the government.
