Kampong Cham (FN), Dec. 21 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet said that that once land title deeds are finalised, citizens will no longer face the threat of losing their land.

The premier spoke on Saturday (Dec. 21) at the inauguration ceremony declaring Kampong Cham Province as completing systematic land measurement and title deed distribution.

The premier highlighted that land surveying ensures clear land management, resolves disputes among citizens, and facilitates the development of effective planning strategies.

According to Samdech Thipadei, during the past 16 months of the seventh-mandate Royal Government, over 3 million land parcels have been measured and registered, with title deeds issued for 87,000 of these parcels. Approximately 1.3 million parcels remain to be surveyed, with completion targeted for 2025.

On the occasion, Prime Minister Hun Manet asserted that the land registration survey results demonstrate that the Royal Government, led by the Cambodian People's Party, is delivering tangible outcomes. He stressed that this progress is not merely reflected on paper, through speeches, or via social media platforms like Facebook.

Samdech Thipadei also called on the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction to complete parcel registration by 2025.

Samdech Thipadei continued that provincial administrations is urged to carry out this task with high responsibility. Additionally, the heads of the Royal Government Working Groups for capitals and provinces are advised to directly distribute title deeds to citizens in their respective areas.
