Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 26 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet stated that Cambodia stands as one of Asia's most open and free economies, speaking on Tuesday (Nov. 26) at the Global Chinese Economic & Technology Summit 2024 held at Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra.
“Cambodia is among the most open and free economies in Asia, with its policies firmly anchored in WTO principles and Cambodian laws and regulations. For example, we offer 100 per cent foreign ownership of businesses with no restrictions on profit and capital repatriations. By enabling investors to retain more of their returns, we position Cambodia as a highly competitive investment destination. I firmly believe that the success of investors is ultimately the success of the government," Premier Hun Manet underscored.
On the occasion, Samdech Thipadei underlined that Cambodia has one of the region's most generous and flexible incentive programs designed to help businesses and investments thrive. Cambodia's network of trade arrangements provides large market access. Through the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), we offer you entry to a market of 2.3 billion people representing almost one-third of global GDP.
