Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 26 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet stated that peace is precious and a rare commodity and not all countries are lucky enough to secure it, speaking on Tuesday (Nov. 26) at the Global Chinese Economic & Technology Summit 2024 held at Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra.
Samdech Thipadei underscored, "Not all countries are lucky enough to secure peace and political stability. Peace is precious and a rare commodity.” He added that in today's tumultuous world, peace and political stability are only aspirations for some countries.
The premier believed that peace and political stability are not just preferences for investors. They are a must-have. Cambodia stands as one of Asia's most open and free economies.
On the occasion, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet underlined that the darkest ages of Cambodian history are over several decades already. Today, Cambodia has witnessed remarkable progress in a broad spectrum of areas ranging from a sustained economic development, a modernised infrastructure and fully integrated economy in the regional and global markets.
Samdech Thipadei added that, in this context of rapid change, Cambodia's peace and stability, its strategic locations within ASEAN, and its business-friendly policies offer a perfect place for investments.
