Kep (FN), Nov. 11 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet ordered the Kep Provincial Administration to completely eliminate all activities of gangs, theft and gambling to ensure security, social order and safety for citizens and tourists visiting this coastal province.

The premier spoke on Monday (Nov. 11) during an inauguration of the Techo Santepheap Angkol Beach Road at Kep province.

"The tourist area must be safe and secure; no one will want to come to Kep if it becomes known for robbery, theft, or disturbances. We must control gang activity, gambling, and theft. In particular, we must observe and monitor the presence of gang groups and foreigners who come to rent accommodations for online scams, taking legal action as needed," the premier underscored.

At the same time, Samdech Thipadei also praised the Kep Provincial Unity Command, which has made good efforts in the past and has recently provided good cooperation with relevant institutions and authorities to prevent criminals.

Premier Hun Manet warned that if Kep loses its name as a safe province, it will not be able to become a diamond.

However, Samdech Thipadei confirmed that the Royal Government will not allow the operation of casino business. On the other hand, if the request to establish a special economic zone and ecotourism, the Royal Government will allow immediately.
