Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 6 – Cambodian Senate President Samdach Techo Hun Sen sent a congratulatory letter to Donald Trump on the recent election as President-elect of the US.

“On behalf of the Senate of the Kingdom of Cambodia and my own behalf, I would like to convey my warmest congratulations and best wishes to you on your re-election as the 47th President of the United States of America,” according to the letter seen by Fresh News on Wednesday (Nov. 6).

“Your re-election to this pre-eminent position stands as a testament to the trust and confidence that the American people have placed in your leadership, vision, and extensive experience in both the private and public sectors. I am highly confident that your presidential leadership will not only guide the United States towards a more prosperous future but also further contribute to global peace, stability and prosperity.

As we will celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the Cambodia-US diplomatic relations in July 2025, I firmly believe that through our joint efforts and mutual understanding and respect, our bilateral ties and cooperation will certainly be further strengthened and expanded. As President of the Senate of Cambodia, I remain committed to working closely with you, your administration, and the US Congress, particularly the Senate, to further enhance our long-standing relations and cooperation, both bilaterally and multilaterally, for the mutual benefits of our two countries and peoples.

Please accept, Excellency, the renewed assurances of my highest consideration and my best wishes for your good health and great success in all your endeavors as well as for the good health and happiness of your family and the American people.”
