Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 6 – Immediately after preliminary results indicated Donald Trump's victory, Samdech Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate and leader of the Cambodian People's Party, identified three key factors behind Trump’s success.
Samdech Techo wrote on his Facebook page on Wednesday (Nov. 6).
“Although the election results in the United States have not been officially announced, the preliminary results show that Donald Trump has defeated his opponent and will be ready to be the new President of the United States!
Trump's victory has three points that make people go to the polls:
Firstly, American society is not ready to take women as its leaders, even though the United States is the father of gender democracy. This indicates that the United States lags behind ASEAN countries, which has had and is having female leaders, such as Thailand, the Philippines and Indonesia.
Secondly, it is likely that God decided that Donald Trump must compete with women. The first time was in 2016 when Donald Trump defeated Hillary Clinton. In 2024, he again competed with another woman, Harris, and was successful.
Thirdly, before the election, Donald Trump sent a message to the American people and around the world about the love of peace, the hatred of war, called "pacifism". This stance resonated with voters, contributing to his electoral success. Therefore, Trump's victory shows that the American people love peace, rather than going to war entirely with Ukraine and Israel.”
