Phnom Penh (FN), Nov.6 – In October 2024, the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) approved 31 projects worth USD 226 million, according to the press release seen by Fresh News on 6 November 2024.
“In October 2024, CDC approved 30 new investment projects and one product expansion project, with a total investment capital of USD 226 million and creating about 16,000 jobs,” the press release added.
Of the total investment projects, 21 are located outside Special Economic Zones (SEZ), while ten are within SEZs.
Notably, the most prominent investment projects in October include an infrastructure project, garment and footwear factories, a home appliance factory, and various projects for tent equipment, furniture, and decoration, with further details provided below.
It should be noted that in October 2024, investment from China ranked first, accounting for 53.39% of total investment, while domestic investment made up 29.47% of total capital.
