Phnom Penh (FN), Sep. 26 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet commended the Ministry of Civil Service and relevant authorities for their efforts in organising the civil service recruitment examinations based on the principle of meritocracy.
The premier spoke on Thursday (Sep. 26) during a graduation of 3,530 students of the Royal University of Law and Economics (RULE) in Phnom Penh.
"I commend the Ministry of Civil Service, the Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU), and other relevant institutions for their efforts in organising the examinations," Samdech Thipadei underscored.
Samdech Thipadei added that the Royal Government aims to make the right choices by providing equal opportunities to enhance quality.
In addition, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet also underlined that institutional reform and improving efficiency depend on strengthening human resources, particularly through the recruitment and training of new officials.
It should be noted that the seventh-mandate Royal Government has issued guidelines requiring the Ministry of Civil Service to oversee all entrance examinations for civil servants under the Common Statute.
In line with Prime Minister Hun Manet's directives, the Ministry is committed to establishing a fair system that ensures equal opportunities for individuals aspiring to join public service. Minister of Civil Service Hun Many stated that the competition aims to provide young candidates with equitable access, ensuring their abilities are accurately assessed. To date, public administration reforms have attracted over 80,000 applicants for civil service positions.
