New York (FN), Sep. 25 – As the High Representative of Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet, Cambodian Foreign Minister Sok Chenda Sophea attended the Opening Session of the General Debate of the 79th Session of the General Assembly on 24 September 2024, at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.

The General Debate was chaired by Philemon Yang, President of the General Assembly, and attended by António Guterres, Secretary General of the United Nations, as well as Heads of State, Heads of Government, and representatives of the UN member state.

The meeting discussed the indispensable role of the United Nations in addressing global challenges and underscored that only with reinvigoration of multilateralism will it be possible to achieve a peaceful, prosperous, sustainable, and inclusive future for all.
