Phnom Penh (FN), Sep. 22 – Japanese Defence Minister Kihara Minoru sent a message to Cambodian Senate President, Samdech Techo Hun Sen, expressing his gratitude for the recent opportunity to pay a courtesy call. He also pledged to continue efforts to promote defense cooperation between the two countries.

“Thank you most sincerely for taking the time out of your busy schedule to meet with me during my recent visit to Cambodia”, according to the letter seen by Fresh News on Sunday (Sep. 22).

“It was a great honor for me to be able to exchange views with you on the Japan-Cambodia bilateral relationship, including our defence cooperation and exchanges.

I am committed to continuing to work to enhance defence cooperation and exchanges between our two countries. I would appreciate your continued support in this regard.

It would be my privilege to one day see you again. Please accept my best wishes for your good health and success in your endeavors."
