Phnom Penh (FN), Sep. 19 – Spokesperson for Samdech Thipadei Prime Minister has issued a press release detailing a recent meeting between Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet and Laurel E. Miller, President and CEO of The Asia Foundation, on Thursday (Sep. 19) at the Peace Palace.

In the meeting, Laurel E. Miller reaffirmed the organization's commitment to supporting Cambodia's socioeconomic development and mentioned the longstanding partnership, which has spanned over 30 years, contributing to the country's progress.

Laurel E. Miller outlined the Asia Foundation's work across 20 countries in the Asia-Pacific region for 70 years, highlighting the organization’s efforts and successes in Cambodia. During the meeting, Miller reaffirmed the organization's commitment to supporting Cambodia's socioeconomic development. She expressed satisfaction with the cooperation between the Asia Foundation and the Royal Government of Cambodia and vowed to continue this partnership to support the country’s strategic framework and key development priorities.

In response, Samdech Thipadei expressed appreciation for The Asia Foundation's partnership and contributions to Cambodia's development and shared insights into the Royal Government’s Pentagonal Strategy-Phase 1, a strategy aiming to transform Cambodia into a high-income country by 2050.

Samdech Thipadei underscored the importance of human capital development as a cornerstone for promoting governance, growth, and development across all sectors. He acknowledged the Asia Foundation's role in supporting these efforts through its various programs.
