Phnom Penh (FN), Sep. 17 – Khuon Sudary, Cambodian President of the National Assembly, sent a condolence letter to Wanmuhamadnoor Matha, President of the National Assembly of Thailand, over the Typhoon Yagi tragedy.

“It is with great sadness that we learned about the tragedy caused by floods, and landslides of the current typhoon Yagi, which resulted in the loss of lives, the devastation of infrastructure, the damage to property, and the displacement of families in several parts of Thailand,” according to the letter seen by Fresh News on Tuesday (Sep. 17).

"On behalf of the National Assembly of Cambodia, I would like to express my deepest condolences and most heartfelt sympathies to you, Honourable President, and through you, to the bereaved families who have lost their loved ones and to all those affected by this natural disaster.

We stand in full solidarity with you and the people of Thailand in this difficult time. We hope for a swift recovery and the restoration of normalcy in the affected regions.

Please accept, Honourable President, the assurances of my highest consideration and my most heartfelt condolences."
