Phnom Penh (FN), Sep. 16 – Cambodian Senate President, Samdech Techo Hun Sen sent a condolence letter to Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Chairman of the State Administration Council of Myanmar, over the Typhoon Yagi tragedy.
“I am deeply saddened to learn of the devastation caused by Typhoon Yagi around Nay Pyi Taw, including loss of lives, injuries, widespread damage to or destruction of infrastructure, and the evacuation of many families,” according to the letter seen by Fresh News on Monday (Sep. 16).
“In this time of profound sorrow, I wish to extend my heartfelt condolences to you and, through you, to the families of the victims as well as the Government and people of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar for these losses. May the deceased rest in peace, and I wish for the swift and complete recovery of the injured and of Myanmar.
Please accept, Your Excellency, the renewed assurances of my highest consideration.”
