Phnom Penh (FN), Sep. 16 – Cambodian Senate President, Samdech Techo Hun Sen sent a condolence letter to Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra over the Typhoon Yagi tragedy.
“I have learnt with deep sadness of the widespread destruction, including many deaths, many injuries, damage to or destruction of property and infrastructure, caused by the heavy rain, floods, and landslides of Typhoon Yagi in the north and northeast of Thailand,” according to the letter seen by Fresh News on Monday (Sep. 16).
“In these very difficult times, on behalf of the people of Cambodia, I would like to express my sincere sympathy and condolences to you and through you to the families of the deceased, the Royal Government, and the people of Thailand for these great losses. May the deceased rest in peace. May the injured have speedy and complete recovery. Under your leadership, I am optimistic that Thailand will recover from this natural disaster very soon.
