Phnom Penh (FN), Sep. 16 – The opening ceremony of the Gumball 3000 Rally in Cambodia took place in Phnom Penh on 15 September 2024, featuring a car show and a large-scale international concert. The event attracted between 8,000 and 10,000 youth participants, according to Kuch Panchasar, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Tourism.

The official opening ceremony was presided over by Minister of Tourism Sok Soken, Phnom Penh Governor Khuong Sreng, Chip Mong’s Director General of Multilateral Trade Leang Pov, and Gumball 3000 Founder Maximillion Cooper. Senior leaders from the Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, as well as many other government officials also attended.

The event also featured a car show, showcasing some of the world’s most spectacular automotive stunts, along with a large-scale international concert attended by Gumball 3000 Rally participants, billionaires, social media influencers, and famous rappers. The concert took place in front of Wat Botum, Phnom Penh.
