Phnom Penh (FN), Sep. 16 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet sent a condolence letter to Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Chairman of the State Administration Council of Myanmar, over the Typhoon Yagi tragedy.
“I have learnt with profound sadness of dozens of deaths caused by severe floods around Nay Pyi Taw amid heavy rains from Typhoon Yagi in recent days,” according to the letter seen by Fresh News on Monday (Sep. 16).
“On behalf of the Government and people of the Kingdom of Cambodia, I extend my deepest condolences to the Government and friendly people of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar at this difficult time, particularly the bereaved families. I also extend my wishes to those injured for a full and speedy recovery.
Please accept, Your Excellency, the renewed assurances of my highest consideration and my deepest sentiments of solidarity.”
