Phnom Penh (FN), Sep. 14 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet sent a condolence letter to Pham Minh Chinh, Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, over the Typhoon Yagi tragedy.
“I have learnt, with profound sadness, about the casualties and massive damage to properties, infrastructure and crops caused by Typhoon Yagi ravaging several northern provinces of Viet Nam on 7 September 2024,” according to the letter seen by Fresh News on Saturday (Sep. 14).
“On behalf of the Government and people of the Kingdom of Cambodia, I extend my deepest condolences and profound sympathies to you, the Government and people of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, particularly the bereaved families, at this difficult time.
I am confident that, under your able leadership, the resilient people of Viet Nam will overcome this natural disaster. I wish the injured a full and speedy recovery.
Please accept, Your Excellency, the renewed assurances of my highest consideration and deep sentiments of solidarity.”
