Phnom Penh (FN), Sep. 6 – Sen Kra Ob-01 (SKO-01) is a light, non-seasonal rice variety that was purified and released by the Cambodian Agricultural Research and Development Institute (CARDI) of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) in late 2019.

At the end of 2023, SKO-01 received a gold award from China for its features such as good performance, aromatic, good quality, slender kernel, clear, longer grains, soft and delicious.

MAFF has encouraged farmers to cultivate SKO-01 due to its high yield and its premium price in national and international markets.
