Phnom Penh (FN), Sep. 4 – Cambodian Foreign Minister Sok Chenda Sophea and Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia Wang Wenbin will sign the Agreement on the Cooperation Projects of the Mekong-Lancang Cooperation (MLC) Special Fund 2024 on 5 September 2024, at the ministry.

Under the Special Fund, Cambodia will receive approximately USD 2 million for eight projects covering tourism, mine action, agriculture, rural development, promotion of MLC awareness, regional economic enhancement, Technical and Vocational Education and Training, capacity building, and flood risk management.

The MLC Special Fund has financed about 90 projects in Cambodia over the past seven years, illustrating the commitment of Cambodia and China to building a community with a shared future of peace, prosperity, and sustainable development for all Mekong-Lancang countries.
