Phnom Penh (FN), Sep. 3 – Cambodian President of the Senate Samdech Techo Hun Sen led a high-level delegation of the Senate to pay tribute to the late Samdech Kong Sam Ol on Tuesday (Sep. 3).

Cambodian Minister of the Royal Palace Kong Sam Ol passed away on 2 September at 8:35 a.m. at the age of 94, according to an announcement from the Ministry of the Royal Palace.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen expressed profound sadness at the passing of Samdech Kong Sam Ol, noting that he had always worked diligently to nurture, care for, and educate his children and grandchildren, helping them to become intellectuals and valuable human resources for society.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen regarded the passing of Minister of the Royal Palace Kong Sam Ol as the loss of a great figure and exemplary leader.

Samdech Kong Sam Ol was known for his wisdom, willpower, national conscience, and vast experience. Throughout his life, he overcame numerous obstacles to serve the nation, religion, and the king in all circumstances, particularly in his role in royal processions and in achieving significant accomplishments in both national and international affairs for the benefit of the nation, motherland, and people. Furthermore, he made great and active contributions to humanitarian work through his noble mission with the Cambodian Red Cross.
