Phnom Penh (FN), Sep. 2 – Cambodia has generated more than USD 31 million from ticket sales to the Angkor Archaeological Park, Koh Ker, and Chong Khneas Tourism Port in the first eight months of 2024, according to a press release issued by Angkor Enterprise on 1 September 2024.
During this period, 651,457 foreign tourists purchased tickets to visit the Angkor Archaeological Park and Koh Ker temple, representing a 30.76% increase compared to the same period in 2023. This influx of visitors resulted in a revenue boost of USD 30,334,229, reflecting a 31.36% increase from the previous year.
The Royal Government donated USD 1,303,714 to Kantha Bopha Hospital to help save the lives of Cambodian children.
It should be noted that in 2023, over 790,000 foreign tourists bought tickets to visit Angkor Archaeological Park, earning USD 37,198,988, an increase of 222.68%.
