Phnom Penh (FN), Aug. 30 – The British Embassy in Cambodia, on Thursday (Aug. 29), hosted a pre-departure reception for nine Chevening Scholars 2024/25, who will pursue their master’s degrees in the UK.
British Ambassador to Cambodia Dominic Williams and Ms Nilma Dole Williams were present alongside representatives from Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, the embassy’s partners including Prudential, Chevening alumni, Cambodian Students Association in the UK, and local medias.
“Yesterday, we had the pleasure of hosting a pre-departure reception for nine Chevening Scholars 2024/25, who are about to embark on an exciting journey to pursue their master's degrees in the UK! This year, we are also incredibly proud to send off one scholar under the UK-SAGE Women in STEM scholarship, a program funded by the UK government to empower women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Wishing all our scholars a successful and enriching experience in the UK! Your journey is just beginning, and we can't wait to see all that you'll accomplish,” the embassy wrote on its Facebook page on Friday.
