Phnom Penh (FN), Aug. 12 – Cambodia's leading rapper Vann Da took the stage at the closing ceremony of the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics on 11 August 2024, performing his hit song "Time to Rise."

The participation of Cambodian artists in such a prestigious global event is a significant honour for Cambodia. Vann Da's performance generated widespread excitement among the Cambodian people.

The 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France, commenced on 26 July and concluded on the evening of 11 August 2024.

The US topped the medal count with 126 medals (40 gold, 44 silver, and 42 bronze), followed by China with 91 medals (40 gold, 27 silver, and 24 bronze), and Japan with 45 medals (20 gold, 13 silver, and 12 bronze). The host country, France, ranked fifth with 64 medals (16 gold, 26 silver, and 22 bronze).
