Phnom Penh (FN), Aug. 2 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet recalled that while he was studying abroad, his parents prohibited him and his wife from acquiring foreign citizenship. To clarify, Samdech Techo Hun Sen has no intention of sending his children or grandchildren abroad. Instead, Samdech Thipadei plans to continue living in Cambodia, which is growing more prosperous under the leadership of the Royal Government and the Cambodian People's Party (CPP).

The premier spoke on Friday (Aug. 2) during his gala dinner with the Cambodian Oknha Association and the Housing Development Association of Cambodia.

"I studied abroad for many years, and my parents strictly prohibited me from taking on foreign citizenship. They had no intention of sending my children or grandchildren abroad; instead, they wanted us to continue living in a more prosperous Cambodia under the leadership of the Royal Government," Samdech Thipadei underscored.

On the occasion, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet assured that the CLV-DTA program will not result in Cambodia losing territory. He affirmed that he has no plans to leave the country and is committed to defending it. He also underlined the importance of maintaining a spirit of nationalism.
