Phnom Penh (FN), Jul. 23 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet commended the work of an outgoing Sri Lankan Ambassador to Cambodia Colonne Appuhamillage Chaminda Inoka Colonne during her tenure, particularly for her contributions to improving Cambodia-Sri Lanka relations and cooperation.

The premier received a farewell call by Ambassador Colonne on 22 July 2023 at the Peace Palace.

During the meeting, the ambassador briefed Samdech Thipadei on her efforts to strengthen and expand relations and cooperation between the two countries in the fields of economy, trade, tourism, and visa waivers for diplomatic and official passports.

Despite the end of her mission in Cambodia, the ambassador pledged to continue promoting Cambodia's potential to Sri Lankan citizens.

For his part, Samdech Thipadei commended the ambassador's active contributions to strengthening and expanding Cambodia-Sri Lanka diplomatic relations and cooperation.

The premier noted that the two countries still have significant potential to strengthen and expand cooperation in key areas, including economy, trade, culture, and tourism.

Samdech Thipadei added that the relevant ministries and institutions of the Royal Government are ready to work closely with the newly appointed Sri Lankan Ambassador to Cambodia.
