Siem Reap (FN), Jul. 18 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet cautioned a critic not to criticise in a way that exacerbates issues.
The premier spoke on Thursday (Jul. 18) during a groundbreaking ceremony for construction of Samdech Pin Sem Museum in Siem Reap province.
"I value genuine information, whether positive or negative, to find solutions, but criticising in a manner that worsens issues is different from constructive criticism," Samdech Thipadei underscored.
Samdech Thipadei continued, "I want to tell him [the critic], who appears sluggish in his approach, that simply criticising without fully understanding the situation is not helpful. While acknowledging that my officials may have shortcomings, I do not condone baseless criticism."
Samdech Thipadei did not disclose the name of the individual, but these comments came in response to criticisms of the kingdom’s tourism sector by Sok Sokun also known as James Sok.
